Proposed solution:
At a company producing large industrial enclosures and control cabinets, a need arose to powder coat large components - some of which were over 2 metres long and weighed several hundred kilograms. Due to their size and weight, it was not possible to suspend them in a traditional paint booth or place them on a roller lift. It was also unrealistic to load them onto a cabin equipped with a floor, using a standard trolley or overhead crane.
The solution turned out to be a powder booth without a floor, constructed in such a way as to allow a manual pallet truck to drive directly into the booth with the workpiece. The open base allows for easy loading and unloading of heavy, standing workpieces without the need to suspend them. The workpiece remains positioned on the pallet or stand and the operator is free to carry out the painting process with the ventilation switched on.
The booth is equipped with a powder extractor, anti-static polyester filters, a recovery powder hopper and a sifter with an explosion-proof vibrator. The filter and extraction system allows the air to be effectively kept clean during painting, while powder recovery ensures material savings and process repeatability.
Although the bottom surface of the workpiece remains unpainted (due to the fact that the workpiece lies on a base), this is a compromise accepted by the customer - it does not affect the functionality or final appearance of the workpiece. Once the painting process is complete, the workpiece goes directly into the oven for annealing.
