Instrutec 2022, Tallinn – Baltic industry in the spotlight
On 12-14 October 2022, the Estonian exhibition centre Eesti Näituste Messikeskus in Tallinn hosted the next edition of Instrutec - the leading industrial event in the Baltic region. The fair has been a key forum for the exchange of knowledge, experience and business contacts since 1995, and its importance is growing year on year thanks to the increasing integration of Estonia and neighbouring countries into the European industrial market.
Main topics and lines of discussion
The focal point of the programme was modern metalworking machinery, as well as tools and systems to support production automation. Great importance was attached to energy efficiency and sustainability, which is also becoming a priority in the Baltic States. The fair also acted as an educational platform - numerous seminars and workshops allowed participants to expand their knowledge of new technologies and trends.
Atmosphere and exchange of experience
There was a spirit of cooperation and openness at the fair. Exhibitors were keen to present their solutions in the form of practical demonstrations, which attracted visitors' attention and facilitated the establishment of conversations.
Particularly evident was the interest of small and medium-sized enterprises, which were looking for tools to increase their competitiveness by modernising their machinery and digitalising their processes.
Conclusions and regional relevance
Instrutec 2022 showed that the Baltic States are dynamically developing their industry and are open to international cooperation.
The event strengthened Estonia's position as a business meeting place for north-eastern Europe. The fair not only showcased cutting-edge technologies, but also created a space to discuss the future of industry in the region, including the growing role of innovation and automation.
