The heart of
The KAP1 automatic booth is an advanced powder coating station based on dielectric technology. Equipped with a manipulator with ProfiSpray A guns, a workpiece detection system and an integrated control panel, it guarantees high precision, efficiency and material savings. Ideal for series production, with a design that is resistant to paint adhesion and easy to clean.
Made in Romer
Bottom tank made of chemical-resistant plastic, equipped with a simple grease and sediment separator. Facilitates the disposal of used liquid and protects the system against clogging. Capacity: 25 litres.
The KAP1 automatic booth is a dielectric powder coating solution that can be part of an integrated painting system. Equipped with a vertical gun system and manipulators, it ensures high productivity and process repeatability. It is designed for medium to large production runs, where automation, precision and minimisation of material losses are important.
The booth has been designed with the maximum painting speed in mind, corresponding to the speed of the conveyor used. The optimum powder coating thickness is 100 µm. The process is based on workpiece detection technology which, by means of a photocell, allows the guns to be switched on and off only when there is a workpiece in their working field. This translates into significant powder and energy savings.
The cab enclosure is made of dielectric plastic to prevent the attraction of paint particles, and the interior is illuminated by LED lights. The reinforced construction, manipulator slots on both sides and a stable floor allow the operator to access the inside of the cab for servicing or touch-ups.
The cabin floor is automatically cleaned using programmable air knives that blow excess powder into the suction channels. The suction channels are easy to clean and accessible via air-actuated flaps and lateral searches.
An integrated 10" touchscreen panel allows the management of up to 50 paint programmes. Controls include manipulators, guns, dust collector, CP02 powder centre and conveyor drive. Fault diagnosis is also available via the Internet. The booth works with the ProfiControl system, which allows comprehensive process control.
The design of the cabin meets the requirements of the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU and is suitable for operation in zone 22 with ATEX protection level II 3D. To ensure safety, the developer can install an explosion detection and suppression system in-house.
Installed in the cab, the ProfiSpray A guns work in conjunction with the manipulators to ensure smooth and precise movement in the vertical axis. Thanks to the integrated PSS-1A controller and RI-1 pump system, the applicators allow highly accurate and reproducible paint application while reducing material losses. The system features low energy consumption and ATEX compliance.
