The ThPID system is designed to reduce the effect of thermal inertia, known as hysteresis, which often occurs in standard heating systems. Traditional solutions operate on the principle of simple on/off control, where heating is either at full power or off, causing the temperature to fluctuate around the setpoint. ThPID uses intelligent voltage control so that when the set temperature is reached, the optimum heating power is selected - only as much as is currently needed. This significantly minimises temperature fluctuations and ensures a more stable process. In addition, the system allows the heating power of the oven to be limited to a certain percentage level, which is particularly useful in situations of limited energy availability or temporary power drops.
