Thermal efficiency | top or side fan

Efficient air circulation - top or side fan The choice of fan type has a direct impact on the uniformity of heating and the efficiency of the oven. The top fan ensures classic vertical air circulation in high halls, while the side fan is ideal for low rooms, guaranteeing optimum use of space and a stable chamber temperature.

Thermal efficiency | top or side fan

Top fan

This is the classic and most common solution. A fan mounted on the roof of the kiln forces a vertical circulation of air that rises and falls in the chamber, creating a natural, circulating movement. This is very effective in ovens installed in high production halls, where the space above the oven allows air to circulate freely. The overhead fan is easy to construct and service and promotes even heating of the workpieces.

Side fan

Used where space above the furnace is limited, for example in low production halls. The side fan forces horizontal air circulation, which works perfectly with side exchangers and horizontal circulation systems. This solution makes efficient use of the available space while ensuring even temperature distribution in the chamber, even when height is limited. The side fan is often chosen for modern modular ovens and installations where every centimetre of space matters.
