The VFD system was developed to negate the effect of paint migration over the oven. The standard solution is based on a system in which the fan always rotates at the same speed. A VFD is a system in which the fan speed is regulated by means of a voltage waveform frequency control while maintaining the torque of the drive motor. Depending on the stage of firing the ink, the speed is adjusted to the set speed - minimising the effect of ink migration through the furnace and speeding up the heating of the workpieces in the dryer.
