Heating of polycarbonate sheets is a process of heating polycarbonate sheets to the appropriate temperature. The purpose of this process is to obtain the desired board properties, such as strength, flexibility or resistance to temperature changes. Polycarbonate sheets are heated to a temperature of 120 to 150 degrees Celsius, depending on the type of material and the desired properties. The heating process lasts from a few to several hours and consists in uniform heating of the plates. Once the process is complete, the boards are cooled to ambient temperature and can be further processed or used in a variety of applications.
